David Wolfe’s Energy Elixir

By on August 2, 2013

With how busy our lives are these days we can defiantly use a natural boost. In this video, David Wolfe gives us he recipe for for his Energy Elixir tea drink as well as some other great info associated with each of the super foods. All of these items can be found at The Raw Food World.

Here is the recipe:

Tea
2 – Spring Dragon Longevity Tea bags
Hot Spring Water (or bottled if spring water is not available)

Powders
1 Heaping Tbsp. – Lucuma
1 Heaping tsp. – Chaga Mushrooms
1 Tbsp. – Maca
1 tsp.* – Astragalus
1 tsp.*- Ashwagandha
1/4-1/2 tsp. – Vanilla  (1/2 tsp. is BEST!)

Seep the tea bags in the hot spring water for 10-15 minutes. Add all powders into your blender. Add tea water (remove bags). Blend well. Drink and enjoy the energy!

I finally got all the powders to make this drink. It almost has a coffee smell to the powder. So does the liquid. In the video I used 1/4 tsp. of vanilla bean powder. It was okay. I added another 1/4 tsp. to make it a total of 1/2 tsp. It was MUCH better. Amazing what a little vanilla can do.

Let me just say that I felt a major energy rush after drinking about half of a mug full of this stuff. Not a bouncing off the walls type energy that coffee and sodas can give you, but a “Lets kick some butt and get this day started” type of energy. Good good stuff. However, I filled up a big container (about 3 mugs worth) to take to the office and sip on thinking it would be a good breakfast replacement. Not my best idea ever. There is so much energy packed into this stuff that I had to just sip on it throughout the day and revved up my metabolism. Lets just say I was pretty hungry by, oh, 10am. This brings me to my tip: Drink it slowly throughout the day, or two, or three. This drink will last for a bit.

Cheers to transforming who you are!

*Note: The measurements were not specified exactly in the video. 1 tsp. was used as a minimum guide.
